The University hosted the NDEA (National Defense Education Act) Institute on International Communism as reported by the Miami Hurricane in 1968.

The 17-page unpublished biography of Doris Beaumont Ludwig was written by Theresa Gesse circa 2000 and donated to the University Archives in April 2013.  Ludwig was a nurse and a midwifery educator, who was born in London in 1902 and passed away in Miami in 1988.  Gesse was an alumna and a former faculty of the University of Miami's School of Nursing and Health Studies, and she received the school’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1999.

Page 1, probably a title page, is missing from the biography.
