This includes many of the hotels both along the Miami Beach ocean front and inland. Many other buildings and areas are depicted and named. The map covers the area as far south as Chapman Field, and as far north as Miami Gardens Road and the Green Heron Apartments on the seafront. Two panels have information on the products offered by 'In and Out' Maps and Guides. The side panels list hotels under the banner 'Open to Civilians' a section below the map lists 'Information for Service Men and Women.' The are advertisements for local businesses along the top and bottom of the sheet. Norman. Norman, a white man, is best remembered for producing eight feature films between 1920-1928. In 1920, he purchased the bankrupt Eagle Film Studios complex in the East Arlington area of Jacksonville, FL., which would become the home of Norman Film Manufacturing Co. - one of the most sophisticated production facilities run by a 'colored' film company. He found success making silent pictures, never making the cross-over into the 'talkies,' and handled the distribution of his films throughout the South. The Flying Ace, an airplane picture touted as 'the first colored picture with real flying in it'  featured an all-colored cast, starring Lawrence Criner and Kathryn Boyd, who plaed a female aviatrix." -Lorne Bair

Manufactured in New York for opponents of the initiative in Florida.
