It includes photographs, illustrations, correspondence, and handwritten notes by Lydia Cabrera and Teresa de la Carra. It also includes published articles and a copy of Vanguardia magazine.

Biographical Note

Rosario Hirart is a Cuban-born writer and professor. After going into exile in the United States, she acquired a Doctor of Philosophy degree from New York University and taught at both NYU and Iona College. She later retired to write full-time. She has published numerous fiction and non-fiction books, including biographies of Lydia Cabrera and Francisco Ayala.
